The tide shapes every day here
Jambiani sits inside a coral lagoon on Zanzibar's south-east coast. Twice a day the ocean withdraws hundreds of metres, revealing sandbanks, rock pools and seaweed gardens — beautiful to walk, but not always there when you feel like swimming. That is the honest reason private pools matter more in Jambiani than almost anywhere else: they give your day a rhythm the tide cannot interrupt.
At U Paradisu, each villa has its own pool in its own walled garden — not a shared pool across a lawn, not a plunge basin on a rooftop. Morning swims before breakfast, an afternoon in and out of the water with children, a quiet float under the stars: the pool is entirely, genuinely yours.
Two villas, two ways to live it
The Family Villa sleeps up to six across three bedrooms and three bathrooms, with an equipped kitchen and a garden made for long shared meals — its pool is the centre of the house. The Intimate Villa is an entirely independent hideaway for two: one air-conditioned suite, a semi-open kitchen, and a pool you will never share with anyone. Both stand in a secure residence a few minutes' walk from Jambiani beach — close enough for barefoot sunrise walks, far enough for complete quiet.
What "private" really includes
The entire villa is yours: pool, garden, kitchen, every room. Daily housekeeping is included. A private chef, airport transfers and excursions can be arranged around your stay — always clearly marked as on request, never presented as included when they are not.
